How does a professional soccer (football) player train?
I want to train more similar to the way a pro soccer player does so I can be at the top of my game and also to be acquainted with the intensity so I know how to handle it when I make it that far. What exactly does a professional club such as Real Madrid or Chelsea do at a typical daily training session?
That really depends on the club, the manager, and the coaching staff at the club.
It normally consists of two key areas though, aerobic and skill.
So they’ll spend half the time on skill and tactics, and the other half in the gym, or running, things like that.
I’m not sure exactly on detail really, but something like that…
If you push yourself hard now though, without risking injury, it will put you in better position for the future, regardless of how hard you train then…

I always struggle with my fantasy NFL team at TE and WR, any views ?
Which ever system or league, I am always let down by my TE mainly then by WR’s.
This year the system allows you to spend $X on each player and you have to keep under a salary cap.
Basically I am looking for a bit of value as you usually have to spend bucks on a QB, Kicker and RB who produce the most points.
i completely understand this ordeal you’re having to deal with. it is definitely important to spend the money to stock up on QBs and RBs and its always difficult to determine how you are going to spend that money to fill up all your roster spots.
There are a few TEs that are not part of the elite group of guys like Gates, Heap, and Gonzalez but are still starters for their respective teams. You could go with Marcedes Lewis (TE Jacksonville), Zach Miller (TE Oakland), Owen Daniels (TE Houston), and Greg Olson (TE Chicago).
If i were to pick one of these guys i would go with the rookie Zach Miller because he was not only very good in college (ASU) but he has fully entrenced himself as the man in Oakland. He is expected to accumulate 50 receptions this upcoming year and he isn’t even on anyone radar for the most part. He might go for a dollar and be an extremely good bargain in the process.
Greg Olson was drafted higher than Miller but he still might have to split some time with Desmond Clark.
Marcedes Lewis is another highly regarded young TE who was also drafted as high as Olson last year. With Garrard at QB i see some more looks for Marcedes at the goal line just like his lone touchdown last year from Garrard.
Owen Daniels is not quite elite status yet but he can put up similar numbers like last year and will come cheaper than the better TEs. All in all, i would go with Zach Miller, he will be a rookie of the year candidate.
At WR you have many more low key good upside players. The best value that no one talks about would be Robert Meachem (WR New Orleans). the kid can flat out play and considering Drew Brees throw a whole lot i wouldnt be surprised if he busted out in his rookie campaign like Marques Colston, as a matter of fact i would say he will. Hes going to be in the running for rookie of the year as well because right of the bat he’s frankly better than colston and will eventually be a pro-bowler.
Brandon Jones (WR Tennessee) is a guy thats really being overlooked. With Drew Bennett out of the picture Jones will have to be the guy that steps in and replaces his numbers and the thing is, he could very well do that. Hes built alot of chemistry with Vince so they will hook up alot.
Matt Jones (WR Jacksonville) is another guy whos just not getting much love. Alot of people still know him and i’d imagine someone might put in a decent bid to get him but seeing as he is owned in less than 10% of fantasy leagues i dont think people are very high on him. the reason why you should consider him is because of the chemistry with Garrard. When Leftwich was starting at the beginning of last year he didnt do much of anything. but when Garrard took over after Byron’s injury, Jones turned a horrific season into a respectable one, getting all six of his TDs in the second half. he may or may not come very cheap but he will be worth his cost.
Jacoby Jones (WR Houston) was one of the biggest highlights of the preseason. Hes definitely got chemistry with schaub and made the team as the no.2 wideout. Some people may not have been paying attention to the preseason or for whatever reason just might not care who he but he should also come cheap considering what he’ll be able to do.
Jerry Porter (WR Oakland) has always been very talented. Its a shame he had to rot on the bench last year because the boys got skills. Now that the raiders have a good QB in Culpepper (and lets not be fooled by Kiffin dragging this thing until gametime, Culpepper will start). As the top wideout he should automatically put up above average numbers, similar to what he put up in the last 2 years (’04,’05) before he was benched in ’06. about 1,000 yds 6 tds.
Dwayne Bowe (WR Kansas City) is someone you have to monitor. Hes definitely got the talent to be successful and be another guy who would be able to challenge Meachem for rookie of the year but the problem is the Chiefs QBs are absolutely ghastly. If the Chiefs realize this and go out and fix it by getting say Byron Leftwich, Bowe is the best WR they have anyways so he would gain alot of value if the right guy was throwing to him. he should be a dollar too because no one will want him.
I hope that is enough to give you some kind of idea as to what you want to do. Good luck man and heres hoping to better success. i hope that wasn’t too long.
