I remeber that the first professional football team is from Boston. There wasn’t another pro team to play so they took on ‘rec’ teams. They never lost a game…imagine that.

Itâs difficult to imagine todayâwhen the Super Bowl has virtually become a national holiday and the National Football League is the countryâs dominant sports entityâbut pro football was once a ramshackle afterthought on the margins of the American sports landscape. Yet in the span of a single generation in postwar America, the game charted an extraordinary rise in popularity, b…

how many people on here have little to no desire to care about professional sports at all?
im just curious as when it comes to basketball, baseball, pro football, hockey, tennis, etc i have no desire to express any interest in any of them…i do enjoy SOME college football and mainly automotive related venues(no NASCAR im not that redneck) i enjoy drag racing and the occasional motorcycle race….am i alone here?
I don’t think you are completely alone. Not everyone gets into the same things and that is OKAY. I personally don’t care for many professional sports. Never really have. I do like pro Baseball and sometimes Pro Football, but I do not like hockey, tennis, basketball or NASCAR even a little. The thing about pro sports is that sometimes people forget that’s it is supposed to be a game and not just for the money…but that doesn’t happen all the time.
But to answer your question, I will say I am not with you on this one, but totally don’t hate you for your opinion. Everyone has their own thing and if you aren’t into professional sports, that doesn’t make you a bad person!
EDIT: I disagree with the person that says people are only into sports because they want to be “cool like the jocks at school or pretend to watch them”…..That is so not true. Many people have a genuine interest in watching sports for relaxation or just to unwind and maybe even to live a dream vicariously through their favorite players. Not everyone likes sports because it’s the “cool” thing. Heck I live in an area that doesn’t exactly condone my favorite baseball and college football teams, but I still like them regardless of the funny looks I get when going out in my Yankees hat and Auburn sweatshirt! it’s not about being cool, it’s about enjoying something you love.

Whats more entertaining to most…The Super Bowl game or the commercials?
I love college football, but I do like to watch pro games as well. It just seems that a lot of the people I come across really enjoy the commercials.
i have to tell the truth. I love to watch the game, but some of the commercials are pretty funny! I still like the game better than commercials though. even though my friend might start cracking up. I’ll laugh at some commercials, yes. i like some too. but the game is soooo much better! 2 years ago steelers vs. cardinals. game winning TD! Steelers! If ya miss the game because of a few stupid commercials, then your just plain RETARDED! who doesn’t like the Super Bowl?

Well… I learned how to put a condom on a guy… no joke, lol. My teacher insisted we volunteer to put a pink, strawberry flavoured condom on a penis made out of wood. XDXD Oh, Health classes…x]
Let’s see, I also learned that P = E/t in Science [Physics]. A ‘Gite’ in french means chalet, and that in the 1959 version of “the Hound of Baskervilles” [Sherlock Holmes movie], people couldn’t act. At all. XD

Pop culture junkies tend to think of Hulk Hogan, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger as entertainment figures. In Poughkeepsie, NY, back in the 1980s, filmmaker Christopher Bell and his brothers viewed them as heroes and became bodybuilders. Like the Hulkster, Mike and Mark Bell even turned to professional wrestling. Chris, a former staffer at Venice’s famous Gold’s Gym, doesn’t use anab…
