NFL players, like modern-day gladiators, are fitted head-to-toe in protective gear, obscuring even their faces from the…

What’s the best way do decide on a starting fantasy nfl team?
There seems to be a lot of changing data at the moment. Are the predicted fantasy points for week 1 realistic/ a good guide to base selections on? Last week someone like jonny knox had a fantasy prediction of 17points for week 1 and now it is 10points. However someone like arian foster who’s draft value has risen has had his fantasy prediction for week 1 stay the say at 3/4points. Is it because he is playing the colts or has the data not been updated yet?
Another thing is the player comparison/decision maker tool on the my team page. It has base score guides and an upside/downside thing etc… this gives me a different selection if i am comparing players compared to the predicted fantasy stats. is it because the predicted fantasy stats are done on madden? or is it because this player comparison is associated with bloomberg sports and has different predictions?
it would be good to get some insight into what is the best guide to judge selecting starters for each week. thanks
The best way to pick players would probably the projected stats with yahoo. You can view them on your team page. They are obviously never exact, but they change based on your scoring settings for your league. So unless the other pedictions are based on your scoring also i wouldnt use them. Every league is different… point per reception would rank certain RBs higher then others, and give more value to WRs. While leagues without PPR would value QBs and RBs on run heavy teams. The predictions are never exact and sometimes are even way off, but it gives you a good feel of what you’re looking at if you don’t follow football as much as the rest of the people in your league.
The johnny knox projection of 17 or even 10 is pretty high, so i would imagine your league settings arent set to a standard scoring system. You should look into your scoring settings, and set your line ups and search Free Agents based on the best players that fit your league and not always the best name players in the NFL. And the projected stats change when something with the player changes. It could be his depth chart ranking, team injuries, matchup rankings, ect. But not every player has something change the would effect their projected stats at the same time, and most of the times it isn’t anything as significant to change from 17 – 10 points, besides the reasons i stated.
UPC: 85391109372The 1985 Chicago Bears were larger than life. They had in-your-face personalities. They boasted Hall of Fame-caliber players. But most importantly; the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. Chicago dominated opponents like few others. The Bears offense was a reflection of their hard-nosed head coach; Mike Ditka. First and foremost; Ditka liked to establish the run; with Walt…
