My personal favorite is Drew Brees. I’ve been a Saints fan forever, and he leads the pack right now. My all-time favorite player is Dalton Hilliard with Morten Andersen as a close second.

Help being a good teammate and adjusting to our system?
So I am a QB on a team that exclusively runs a pro-style offense that runs the ball about 90% of the time. I threw about 3 passes a game and they were usually just slants and outs. We aren’t really an option or zone read we are just under center misdirection running offense. We usually run because our O line is so dominant. We don’t even really have much play action. So I was at a Standford football camp over the summer and the coach pulled me aside and told me if he saw some good highlights then he thinks I could get a scholarship after what I showed at the 7 on 7. Next season do you guys know what I can do to improve my situation because we are returning all of our starters. Since we lost in the playoffs I think my coaches might change a little bit. I don’t want to sound selfish and like I care about myself before the team but I really don’t want to miss the chance to go play college football anywhere.
You don’t go against the coach, no matter where you want to play, or how you want to play. You’re best bet is to play the game he wants you to play, just make the most out of your opportunities.
Make a highlight film and a cover letter. The film can show your scrambles or designed runs, plus the pass plays. Be a good down-field blocker when called upon. Put that in the film, as well. In the cover letter let them know that you were a run-dominate team. If they are truly interested in you, they might have you play a little catch on your official visit, or any other unofficial ones you make.
You should help the collages understand that you are the ultimate teammate… you know you can throw, but you swallow your pride for the sake of what’s best for the team. You make the throws, the runs, the blocks, but you don’t let your ego get in the way. You’re coachable, to boot. If coaches are able to see you do the throwing in the 7-on-7′s and in “practice”, you’ll get a long, hard look.
If no one bites during recruiting, which is an unfortunate possibility, walk on to a college, or go to JuCo for a year or two. Do some research. Pick a place that does throw the ball, and go out there as a walk on and prove to them you can do it. You never know, the school you’ve always wanted to go to just might come calling after a couple of good seasons.
