Bellevue for the third time since 2002 had to make a trip on back to back nights verse their week one opponent when bad weather hit the area Friday evening. The Redmen held on for an 8-0 victory after Margaretta made it interesting aided by a pass interference call but Bellevue escaped after intercepting the Polar Bears Evan Kurt with less than 2:00 in the final quarter. Junior quarterback Trevor Smith led the Redmen on the ground with 98-yards while senior split-end Derek Brown led the team with 36 yards passing. Bellevue (1-0) travels to face the Arrows of Ashland next Friday night.
