GAME RECAP:
10/20/06 - Bellevue, OH - The Tiffin Tornadoes defense whipped through the Bellevue offensive front last night holding the leagues leading rushing attack to a mere 58-yards on 30 carries. Jeff DeBlase was able to hit on 64% of his passes but the offense would sputter on third and fourth down making a comeback too difficult verse a quick and nasty Tiffin defense. The Redmen trailed 7-0 after the first quarter but answered the Tiffin score with one of their own mid way through the second period with Derrick Berberick scoring from 4-yards out. The Bellevue offense found itself just inside the Tiffin ten but failed to scoring with 58 seconds remaining in the half. Tiffin struck quickly in the third quarter with sophomore Ethan Kagy returning the kickoff 67 yards to the Bellevue 37. four plays later, Dusty Krupp took it 21-yards for a 14-7 lead. The Tornadoes would tack on scores from Reid Kagy and Drew Ardner for the 28-7 final. Bellevue travels to Fostoria next Friday to finish up the season in a battle to matches up the Redmen vs the Redmen while Tiffin travels to Shelby with the two battling for the league title.
