GAME RECAP:

9/22/06 - Norwalk, OH - The Bellevue Redmen used some long scoring drives to ruin the Norwalk Truckers homecoming game Friday night at Whitney Field. Derrick Berberick was at it again with his forth 200 yard plus rushing performance of the season. Bellevue used 9 plays and drove 55 yards for their first score after Berberick took it in from 5-yards out. The Truckers came back and scored 2:36 later with Clay Duncan scoring after a 7- play 65-yard drive. It was all Bellevue the rest of the way with scores coming from 11 plays for 64 yards, 10 plays for 91 yards, 6 plays for 88 yards and 3 plays for 60 yards when Berberick dashed across the goal-line from 49-yards out. The Redmen controlled the line of scrimmage on the evening and the dominating performance allowed them to get everyone in the ball game. Both sophomore quarterback Trevor Smith and freshmen quarterback Curtis Watson who'll likely be competing for the starters job next fall saw action. The Redmen run the record to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in league action while the Truckers drop to 0-5 and 0-2 in league play. The Truckers after the game canceled the scheduled junior varsity contest originally scheduled for Saturday morning. Bellevue travels to Galion to take on the 1-4 Tigers next Friday.
