GAME RECAP:
9/8/06 - Bellevue, OH - Bellevue ended the Fliers unbeaten strike while bringing back the route 20 football to Bellevue. Senior co-captain Jeff DeBlase threw for 202 yards on 7 of 13 passing and a touchdown while adding a score on the ground. The Redmen defense came up big on the evening forcing three Clyde turnovers and stopping the Fliers on 4th down a couple times late in the game to preserve the victory. Jordan Manlet and Dusty Lepley each caught two passes for 85 yards apiece and Manlet had a 7-yard score. After the game High School Principle Francis Scrucci presented head coach Ed Nasonti and the Bellevue players the route 20 football, which goes to the winner of this backyard rivalry. Bellevue opens NOL play next week at BAF against Upper Sandusky who is also coming into the contest at 2-1.
